Valentines Day Cocktail Idea

Loving this idea from Country Living.  Perfect for a Valentines Day Party or even a Mad Hatter's Party.  I have seen bottles, like this, at stores like Pier 1, Michael's Craft Stores, and Joanne's Fabrics.

This is the Pink Passion Cocktail we created.  This would be perfect inside of the bottles as shown above.

NEFL's hand in designing a booth at the Atlanta Gift Show

I was so excited to receive these photos from the owner of Classic Cargo, a fabulous company that represents high-end specialty lines for retailers.  While I was placing my own orders, Bryn, the owner, asked if I could assist her in designing a booth space for the Atlanta Gift Show.  My answer.... "But of course!!!".
With short notice, and little time to spare, I jumped in head first to come up with several design concepts using the notes given to my by Bryn, who was also sharing notes from three of the vendors she would be representing at the show.

It is amazing to see what they accomplished, during the booth set up, in such a short time!  After seeing these photos, I know for a fact, I had the easy part of the job. I gave them basic CAD drawings with my visual suggestions for the space.  The ladies then tweaked the plan to their specifications, added all of their products, accessories, and then their personal touch to make the booth both inviting and colorful.

Wine Slushy Recipe - Pinch Me Now!

Hear me now..... This is a fact, without a shadow of a doubt, that I will be making this slushy for some sort of Summer Soiree this year.  Maybe even for a Spring if I can't handle the waiting game.

Let me apologize to the person who took this photo and posted the recipe.  I saved the recipe awhile ago and forgot to make note of where I found it and who the creative genius was.

Creating an all white party

Creating an all-white party, or almost all-white party set the tone for a casual yet elegant party.  Below is a group of photos I have saved from Martha Stewart and Southern Living.  Please enjoy some of these ideas if you too are going to host an all white event.

Blue and White For Stylish Design & Entertaining

This is a photo I took during one of my visits to the Boston Design Center, of the Ralph Lauren Showroom window. Alas, the showroom closed (boo hiss!), but luckily I still have these products available to me through my vendors, but what a shame the Ralph Lauren showroom had to shut their doors.

This navy blue, white, silver, and crystal vignette stopped me in my tracks.  I love blue and white, but I admit to not having it my home, at least at this point.  This photo has inspired me to show you some of the items we will have available on our web site (you can contact me before the site goes live, items are currently in stock and we are just working on building the store).

I have platform stilettos myself, but these babies take the cake!  Love the blue and white combo!

The blue and white toile fabric sets off the stripe menu perfectly!  The navy blue napkin looks stunning in the silver napkin ring.

Using Radiant Orchid, Pantones 2014 color of the year in your home, fashion, and party design.

While watching the TV show Project Runway, I was inspired to show you some home, fashion, and party looks using Pantone's 2014 Color of the year... Radiant Orchid.  This color has a place in my heart, but used sparingly.  Below you will see some uses of the radiant orchid color, by designers, that certainly were not afraid to "Go For It".  I am more apt to use it on my lips, nails, or finishing touch accessory.  OH and of course.... in my jewelry!

A few shades of purple with radiant orchid blended in.

Almost too pretty to eat.  Notice I said "almost".

Last year I invested in a cobalt blue trench coat, but I could be talked into wearing a radiant orchid trench coat too!

Looking at this room, it is mainly white and neutral tones, but the splashes of purple make the room.

I have painted striped walls and I have stenciled ceilings with a damask print or added painted stars, but I have yet to use bold stripes.  What do you think of these?  I find it quite stunning.

Now this is a party color theme I would never forget!  Stunning!

Damn! Once again, last year I bought a pink leather handbag, but this takes the cake!  Maybe I can just purchase a tiny clutch to add to accessories.

Hmmmm. Looks like mother nature hit the nail on the head with the color!
