Listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, Sleepy Hollow has an estimated 10,000 gravesites, including those of Nathaniel Hawthorne (The Scarlet Letter and House of Seven Gables) - Ralph Waldo Emerson - Henry David Thoreau - and Louisa May Alcott (Little Women) to name just a few.

Old Hill Burying Ground - Overlooks Concord, MA and was the original burying ground for Concord residents after securing their settlement in 1635.  The oldest stone existing is dated 1677.
