Well so much for having some down time!  I think I just found what I want to do for a hobby!  I love collecting vintage pins/brooches, earrings, bracelets (okay you must know be by now, anything with sparkle) and I think this craft project, for those who want a vintage brooch bridal bouquet to carry, is perfect to give purpose to my addiction.   Here is a page of more pictures of bridal bouquet ideas using vintage brooches on my web site. Vineyard Wedding & Party Theme

It isn't a secret amongst my friends that I love wine, and my recent trip to Napa and Sonoma increased my appreciation for the art of wine making and the ambiance the wineries have created to lure in tourists and hopeless romantics.  For such a simple concept, it becomes elegant as shown in the Wine Wedding Inspiration board above.

This picture hit a home run with me.  Last year, I created a whole page on wine cork crafts due to the fact that I have hundreds sitting in a large bowl in my home and I wanted to find some projects to do in my spare time (yeah I know right??? what is spare time?).   Very simple to create but once again, very elegant.

Creating A New England Style or Nantucket Style Wedding / Cocktail Party

 

You don't need to live in New England or in Nantucket to enjoy a Nantucket Style party.  I love the use of the silver dollar (some of our New England beaches are full of them if you look close) as the theme for these wedding ideas.  I ESPECIALLY love the chocolate sand dollars.  Yum!

Enchanted Forest Wedding and Party Ideas

A trend that I found coming this spring, through my internet searching, is the “Enchanted Forest” wedding theme.  This is a theme that is close to my own heart because over 15 years ago, I created an enchanted forest for a children's expo I promoted. I had trees brought in from a local nursery, paths were created, woodland animals were added, but for a wedding, nothing says romance more than beautiful flowing wedding dresses, tall trees full of twinkling lights and birds perched tucked into the branches, rich earthy tones such as greens, browns, and creams.

Katie, a blogger for Wedding Paper Divas, says that the key to achieving this ethereal look is to keep everything soft and rustic, with understated hues and a blend of earthy branches, leaves and blooms punctuated by the heavenly glow of outdoor chandeliers.
